A FEW TRICKS TO GET FACEBOOK LIKES

Every author knows they need a Facebook business profile. But it’s more than simply having the page. It means knowing how to constantly grow your followers. In today’s podcast I will offer you a few simple tips and tricks to getting more likes which will, hopefully, lead to extra sales.

Let’s start with sending out invites from your PC rather than your mobile

When you send out your invites from a mobile phone, for some odd reason it is limited to only 45 sends at any one time. However, sending them out from a computer will allow you to ‘select all’ your friends, making it much easier and more efficient.

Always remember to invite people who have liked your posts

If you click on the people who have liked a specific post, each will have a button which says ‘invite’ displayed next to their name. If you have not yet invited them to like your page then click to invite them, but remember to add the ‘send email’ option button as well. This way they get two requests. If they miss one, the chances are they will respond to the second.

Don’t post too much promotional content

Your page should consist of no more than a maximum 25% promotional material. You would do best to aim for say 20% just to be safe. If your page provides the reader with mostly stuff that benefits them, then they are more likely to follow you.

Make sure you post regularly

You need to ensure your page has a consistent flow of content so your followers and/or your potential followers can get to know you better. As they do, they will grow to expect good quality content from you. However, don’t over do it. Always aim for a happy medium.

Time your posts right

Making sure you post at the right time of day allows your post to be seen by more viewers, thus meaning you will get more likes. The suggested best time to post on Facebook is between 12pm and 3pm - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. And on the weekends from 12pm to 1pm.

Always be Yourself

Don’t put on airs and graces. Use your own self. Be true to who you really are. People love authenticity and rawness so, don’t be afraid to show your true colours!

Offer value to the reader

Whether it’s resources, tips, tricks, giveaways, or entertainment, ensure you give people a reason to want to follow your page. Remember people love freebies no matter how small they are.

And that’s it. With these few simple tips, you should be able to push your business image towards the right viewers.

But, in the meantime: Remember, if what you are doing isn’t working out well, you can always change direction and try something new.
