Born in Yorkshire I now live in Cardiff Bay, which I love.
During my working life I have been commissioned to write a number of factual pieces for inclusion in advertorials, editorials, Educational Tutorial Booklets as well as for newsletters, newspaper and magazines. I have also written 200+ informational pieces for use on websites.
Dear Friends: Letters from Abroad was my first historical novel. I followed this by writing the Little Friends Picture Book Series following this with Doyle’s Casebook, a mystery short story book.
I have a love of history so the late Dorothy Dunnett is one of my favourite writers. Her ability to marry fact and fiction in her writing is extremely well done and leaves the reader with a belief that the fictional characters/events really existed. Apart from writing my other interests include history, reading, painting and travel.
I now work with a number of other writers who offer help to new and budding writers through Pen & Ink Designs. We also mentor and encourage the younger writers through the Kids Who Write and Kids-4-Kids Club Organisations.
